About Us

We are a dog loving family who wanted our kids to experience the miracle of life. We began looking for a male dog to breed with Lilly, our golden, in 2011 and found a new friend in Marissa Hendrix, breeder of ArkGold (formerly Heart of Gold Pups).

We’ve been dog-people all our lives and have had many friends go through traumatic losses with their furry family members. We breed championship bloodline dogs because the high level of care that has gone into breeding super healthy dogs with strong genetics. Our dogs go through multiple health screenings, as have their parents and grandparents for generations. So while there are no guarantees, our hope is that we give you the best chance of a full life with your precious dog. On top of that, they’re super smart and trainable too!

In 2011 we bred our Lilly with her Remi, a English type Golden with multi-champion bloodlines.  From that litter, we placed 7 pups with loving families and kept one girl, Sunshine.

We now have 4 generations of girls we have bred, and all of our sires have come from ArkGold. Check out The Sires (Dads) we’ve used from her, which also lay the foundation of our puppies’ pedigree.

We are not professional breeders, but we have inadvertently become hobby breeders because it is such a fun process.  We have had dogs all our lives, and Tisha worked in a veterinarian clinic  for years.  Yes, having puppies is a lot of work.  We have to set aside 2 months of our life to take care of 7 or more rambunctious puppies who need de-worming, vaccinations, play time, poop cleaned up, fences to build, whelping boxes to build, and talking to dozens of families who want to adopt their next pet.

We’ve met lots of great people, and our kids will never forget these puppies and many of the adopted families.  My boys will never forget meeting a military veteran who had his leg blown off in the Middle East. He was looking for a service dog to help with his PTSD.  He was very kind to my curious boys, took his prosthetic leg off, and let them touch it.  And now we hear that the dog they adopted has a keen awareness of when anxiety builds and is a huge blessing to him and helps him cope with PTSD.  We’ve had others become search and rescue dogs, and most are just loving members of great families.
